Method
 

Step‑By‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare two Silpat-lined baking sheets.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Devil’s food cake mix, water, vegetable oil, eggs, and chocolate fudge instant pudding. Mix until smooth.
  3. Using a cookie scoop, portion the batter onto the baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  4. Bake for 7-10 minutes until lightly springing back when touched. Remove and cool on wire racks for 10 minutes.
  5. Mix the vanilla cake icing with orange food coloring gel until vibrant. Adjust color as desired.
  6. Spread or pipe icing on the flat side of one pie and sandwich it with another.
  7. Decorate with black glitter, black licorice, and candy eyes as desired.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar if desired and serve on a festive platter.
