  • 1 cup Water Stick with original for best results
  • 1/3 cup Vegetable Oil Melted butter can be used for extra richness
  • 3 large Eggs Can substitute with flax eggs for vegan option
  • 1 pkg Chocolate Fudge Instant Pudding Vanilla pudding can be used for a lighter flavor
For the Icing
  • 1 cup Vanilla Cake Icing Homemade buttercream can elevate flavor
  • 1 tbsp Orange Food Coloring Gel Regular food coloring will work but gel is better
For the Decorations
  • 1 tbsp Edible Black Glitter Black sprinkles can also be used
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar Optional, great for stenciling
  • 3 pieces Black Licorice For spider legs; chocolate dough sticks are an alternative
  • 1 cup Candy Eyes Optional decoration

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking sheets.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, water, oil, eggs, and pudding. Beat for 2-3 minutes until smooth.
  3. Scoop batter onto prepared sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
  4. Bake for 7-10 minutes until spongy. Let cool on baking sheets for a minute before transferring to a wire rack.
  5. Mix vanilla icing with orange food coloring until desired hue is reached.
  6. Spread icing on the flat side of one pie and sandwich with another pie.
  7. Decorate with black glitter, licorice, and candy eyes.
  8. Serve and enjoy your spooky treats!
