  • 4 cups cherry juice or substitute with grape juice
  • 3 pieces orange peel zest of 3 oranges, or lemon zest for a different flavor
  • 1 thumb-sized red chilli whole, omit for a non-spicy version
  • 3 pieces cinnamon sticks or ground cinnamon, reduce quantity
  • 10 pieces cloves or allspice as a substitute
  • 6 slices fresh ginger ground ginger can be used in less quantity
For the Garnish
  • to taste Dracula's Fangs Sweets any candy can serve a similar purpose
Optional Alcohol
  • 200 ml vodka optional for an adult version

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large saucepan, combine 4 cups of cherry juice, the peel of 3 oranges, a whole red chili, 3 cinnamon sticks, 10 cloves, and 6 slices of fresh ginger. Stir gently with a wooden spoon.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer for about 5 minutes.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and allow the punch to cool for a few minutes before transferring it to a large pitcher for chilling.
  4. Refrigerate the punch for at least 4 hours, or up to 2 days for better flavor infusion.
  5. When ready to serve, stir the chilled mixture and pour into glasses or a punch bowl, adding vodka if desired.
  6. Garnish each glass with Dracula’s Fangs sweets to enhance the spooky theme.
