Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C) and spray a 9'x5' loaf pan with non-stick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Fold in the chopped fresh strawberries, reserving a few for garnish.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, egg, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and fold gently until no dry flour remains.
  6. Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan and press reserved strawberries on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  8. Remove from the oven, poke holes in the top, and prepare the lemon glaze.
  9. Allow to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
