Preparation Steps
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, finely minced onion, and seasonings. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  2. Form the mixture into evenly sized meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and set aside on a plate.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, cook meatballs until golden brown, about 10 minutes.
  4. In the same skillet, create a roux with 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 tablespoons of flour. Gradually stir in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce to thicken the sauce.
  5. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and return to pot, mixing in the prepared sauce.
  6. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a baking dish, combine the cooked pasta and meatballs with sauce. Spread evenly and smooth the top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
