  • 1 tsp Salt Adjust to your taste.
  • 1 tsp Pepper Adjust to your taste.
  • 1 tsp Thyme Rosemary or oregano can work as substitutes.
  • 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes Optional for those who enjoy a bit of heat.
For the Glaze
  • 2 cups Fresh Orange Juice Blood oranges or mandarins can also be used.
  • 1/4 cup Honey Maple syrup serves as a great vegan alternative.

Cooking Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the bone-in chicken pieces dry with paper towels and season generously with salt, pepper, minced garlic, and fresh thyme.
  3. In a small bowl, combine freshly squeezed orange juice, honey, and red pepper flakes (if using) to create the glaze.
  4. Place the seasoned chicken pieces in a roasting pan and pour the orange glaze over the chicken.
  5. Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes.
  6. Check the internal temperature of the chicken, it should reach at least 165°F (74°C).
  7. Switch your oven to broil for an additional 2-3 minutes for crispy skin.
  8. Once done, remove from oven and let the chicken rest for about 5 minutes.
