- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the bone-in chicken pieces dry with paper towels and season generously with salt, pepper, minced garlic, and fresh thyme.
- In a small bowl, combine freshly squeezed orange juice, honey, and red pepper flakes (if using) to create the glaze.
- Place the seasoned chicken pieces in a roasting pan and pour the orange glaze over the chicken.
- Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes.
- Check the internal temperature of the chicken, it should reach at least 165°F (74°C).
- Switch your oven to broil for an additional 2-3 minutes for crispy skin.
- Once done, remove from oven and let the chicken rest for about 5 minutes.
