  • 1 loaf Baguette Can substitute with sourdough or ciabatta
For the Topping
  • 1 cup Ricotta Cheese Optional to mix with honey for sweetness
  • 2 cups Strawberries Fresh, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons Balsamic Glaze For drizzling
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Basil Garnish before serving

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and slice the baguette into ¾ inch thick pieces.
  2. Brush each slice with olive oil and place on a baking sheet.
  3. Toast the bread in the oven for 6-8 minutes until golden brown.
  4. In a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  5. Wash and chop the strawberries, removing the tops.
  6. Spread the ricotta mixture on each toasted slice.
  7. Top with chopped strawberries and drizzle with balsamic glaze.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
