Step-by-Step Instructions for Sweet and Sour 'Bat' Wings
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the pineapple juice, brown sugar, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and black food coloring until smooth. Add whole chicken wings, ensuring they are fully coated with the marinade. Cover the bowl and let them marinate in the refrigerator for 6 to 24 hours.
  2. Preheat your oven to 400ºF (200ºC).
  3. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Arranging the baking sheets properly will help with even cooking.
  4. Arrange the marinated wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheets. Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown.
  5. While the wings are baking, mix honey and apple cider vinegar in a small bowl. After 30 minutes, brush the wings with the glaze mixture.
  6. Return the glazed wings to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes to allow the glaze to caramelize.
  7. Once baked, remove the wings from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve with vegetable sticks or a dip.
