For the Spice Rub
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar or coconut sugar for a unique twist
  • 1 tbsp Smoked Paprika regular paprika is an option
  • 1 tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tbsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tbsp Chili Powder adjust based on spice tolerance
  • 1 tbsp Black Pepper freshly ground is best
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper optional
For the BBQ Sauce
  • 1 cup Barbecue Sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).
  2. Prepare the ribs by removing the silver skin from the back.
  3. Mix the spice rub ingredients in a bowl until combined.
  4. Rub the spice mixture over both sides of the ribs.
  5. Wrap the ribs in aluminum foil and bake for 2.5 to 3 hours.
  6. Prepare the BBQ sauce by combining ingredients in a saucepan.
  7. Unwrap the ribs and glaze them with the BBQ sauce.
  8. Grill or broil the ribs for 5-7 minutes per side.
  9. Let the ribs rest for a few minutes, then serve.
