Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add spaghetti and cook until al dente, typically 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a deep skillet over medium heat until it shimmers.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté for approximately 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Stir in chopped tomatoes and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for about 5 minutes.
  5. Add drained capers, sliced olives, and crushed red pepper flakes. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  6. Push sauce to one side and add calamari rings. Cook for 2-3 minutes until opaque.
