  • 1 medium Yellow Onion or red onion for a milder taste
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup Ketchup for the meatloaf
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano can substitute with Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper preferably freshly ground
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika optional
  • 1 tbsp Brown Sugar for sweetness in the glaze
For the Glaze
  • 1/4 cup Ketchup for the glaze
  • 1 tbsp Brown Sugar for sweetness

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. Soak the breadcrumbs in milk for about five minutes until fully absorbed.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the lean ground beef, soaked breadcrumbs, and egg until just combined.
  4. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, salt, pepper, and paprika to the mixture, stirring well.
  5. Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared loaf pan.
  6. Mix ketchup and brown sugar in a small bowl to create the glaze and spread it over the meatloaf.
  7. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, or until fully cooked with an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
  8. Let the meatloaf rest for ten minutes before slicing.
