Ingredients

  • 1 cup Short-Grain Rice Can substitute with brown or multigrain rice
  • 1 1/4 cups Water
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
  • to taste pinch Salt Low-sodium alternative can be used
For the Fillings
  • 1/2 cup Canned Tuna Mix with mayonnaise for creaminess
  • 1/2 cup Cooked Bulogi Beef Finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup Finely Chopped Kimchi Squeeze out excess liquid
  • 1/2 cup Shredded Cooked Chicken Season with soy sauce
For the Toppings
  • 1 tablespoon Roasted Seaweed Flakes Crushed or pre-seasoned
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds
  • to taste Soy Sauce Gluten-free option available
  • to taste Gochugaru (Korean Red Pepper Flakes) Optional for spice

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Rinse the rice under cool water until clear, then drain. Cook in a rice cooker or stovetop with water for 20 minutes. Let sit for 10 minutes, fluff with fork, mix in sesame oil and salt.
  2. Combine the cooked rice with your chosen filling, seaweed flakes, sesame seeds, and soy sauce in a large bowl. Mix well.
  3. Wet hands and scoop about 1/4 cup of the rice mixture, shape into a ball or triangle. Repeat the process.
  4. Serve immediately with soy sauce, or wrap in plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
