Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine 2–3 cups of whole milk and ½ cup of heavy whipping cream. Warm on medium heat until steaming, about 5–7 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, mix ½ cup of high-quality cocoa powder and ½ cup of grated milk chocolate. Gradually whisk in about ½ cup of the hot milk until smooth.
  3. Pour the chocolate mixture back into the saucepan with the remaining milk. Add the full can of sweetened condensed milk and ⅛ teaspoon of vanilla extract, whisking continuously.
  4. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 3–5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  5. Ladle into warm mugs and top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon, if desired.
