  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning adjust to taste

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder increase for a garlicky kick

  • 1 tablespoon parsley finely chopped

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, active dry yeast, and granulated sugar. Let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add all-purpose flour, salt, and melted unsalted butter to the yeast mixture. Stir until a soft dough forms.
  3. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 to 1.5 hours.
  5. Punch down the risen dough, divide into 12 pieces, and roll each into a 7-inch log.
  6. Arrange the breadsticks on a baking sheet, cover, and let rise again for about 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Bake breadsticks for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Melt butter in a saucepan and mix in garlic powder. Brush the glaze on warm breadsticks.
  9. Garnish with parsley if desired and serve.
