Breadstick Preparation
- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, yeast, granulated sugar, and salt. Stir gently and let it rest for 5-10 minutes until bubbly and frothy.
- Gradually add all-purpose flour to the yeast mixture using a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook. Mix on medium speed until a loose ball of dough forms, about 5-7 minutes. Cover and let it proof in a warm place for 30-45 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
- Punch down the risen dough and transfer it to the prepared sheet pan. Press evenly to form a rectangle. Pour melted butter over the top and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, garlic salt, and Italian seasoning.
- Cover with a clean towel and let the dough rise for another 15-20 minutes until slightly puffed.
- Cut the dough into individual breadsticks using a pizza cutter. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from oven and let cool for about 5 minutes before serving.
