Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your smoker to 200°F (93°C), which takes about 15 minutes.
  2. Trim off the tough, woody ends of the asparagus.
  3. In a large bowl, coat asparagus with olive oil, then season with salt and lemon pepper.
  4. In a saucepan, combine lemon juice, salted butter, and garlic paste over low heat until melted.
  5. Smoke the seasoned asparagus and saucepan for about one hour, brushing with melted butter halfway.
  6. Remove asparagus from smoker, drizzle with the garlic butter sauce, and serve.
