Step-by-Step Instructions

Add 1-2 teaspoons of vanilla extract and 1/2 cup of softened unsalted butter, mixing well. Gradually pour in 2 cups of milk and 1 cup of sifted all-purpose flour, whisking until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, whip 4 egg whites until soft peaks form, about 2-3 minutes. Carefully fold the whipped egg whites into the batter using a spatula, making sure not to overmix.
